For some, housework and domestic duties can be challenging; difficulties such as cognitive impairment, reduced mobility or limited vision can hamper the day-to-day upkeep of the home. Our carers can provide any level of assistance with household tasks from laundry to shopping or secretarial duties to dog walking.
For clients with Dementia or other cognitive impairment, it can be really beneficial to complete domestic tasks together. This promotes independence and can help clients to maintain the basic skills that may be otherwise lost. Encouraging our clients to be as independent as possible is essential to staying at home and we promote a rehabilitation approach throughout our care.
If you suffer from visual impairment, assistance with domestic work can provide a welcome reassurance; knowing that you can continue to care for your own home, with a little support, allows you to continue living as independently as possible.
Some domestic duties such as gardening and shopping can be done together. Doing essential jobs as one increases social interaction and mean you can enjoy having company whilst doing as much of the domestic work as possibly independently.

Carers can assist with any level of personal care including, getting up, washing, dressing, oral hygiene, aesthetic activities (such as shaving and cosmetics), toileting, hairdressing and much more. Our staff are responsive and perceptive; they can respond to the exact needs of each client and support them in a way that is as individual as they are. We create a care plan that ensures that each client receives the care they need and want and allows our carers to comprehensively support each client. This care plan can adapt and develop as the needs of the client change, ensuring that our care is as responsive as possible.
Physiotherapy is a critical part of ensuring that each client is as independent as possible. We can assist our clients to complete exercises to increase or uphold mobility or encourage them to take part in their own care as much as possible to maintain their independence. As each client has different care needs, so do they have individual physiotherapy requirements and potential. We train all our staff to understand the needs of each client, so they can assist the client to undertake their rehabilitation tasks successfully.
Are you due to come home from hospital but feeling like you may need more help? We can complete an assessment for you based on your current and projected abilities and guide you through the transition of coming home. Our team of responsive carers can help and adjust your rehab plan based on how your needs change. We can provide any level of care, from preparing meals to companionship or personal care to physiotherapy. Your care plan will be designed completely around your needs and helping you back to independence. We can even give guidance on equipment or any adaptations you require to stay independent in your own home.
For clients who treasure their gardens but struggle with their upkeep, we have carers who can help. Gardening can be done as a therapeutic activity, to help focus clients with cognitive impairment or independently so clients can enjoy their garden without having the stress of maintaining it. Alternatively, for larger jobs, we can recommend independent trades-people to take on the more skilled jobs.
We undertake all elements of medication management. Packages of assistance include help with ordering medication, administration, implementing medication support devices (such as an electronic Pivotel), collection and GP appointments. Our carers have comprehensive medication training, thus allowing them to support our clients as required. We can assess a client’s abilities and, if needed, order and put in place lockable medication boxes for client safety. If it’s only assistance with applying cream which is required then we can help with that too!
For some people, having someone there to help them with small tasks and just to talk to can be invaluable. Our carers all have different skills and fortes which can be matched with the particular requests of each client. Whether you are interested in baking, sewing, walking, shopping, cleaning, painting, jigsaws, reading, life-story books, cooking, visiting stately homes and gardens or just relaxing at home, our staff can enable you to live a fulfilling life. Incorporating a social element into a clients care package can significantly improve their quality of life as it can combat loneliness, provide emotional and moral support and increase their confidence and level of fitness so that an individual can take on new challenges, all of which allows them to maintain their independence at home.
For our pet-loving clients, we provide a dog walking service. We encourage our clients to join us where possible as it contributes towards social interaction and physical well-being. Alternatively, our carers can take your canine-companion out for you. We even provide pet holidays as an alternative to kennels if you go away on holiday or need to be admitted to hospital.
